Using props such as bolsters, cushions and blankets to support the body and promote deep rest, restorative yoga aims to combat chronic stress and fatigue through stimulating the body’s own relaxation response and natural healing processes. By holding supported postures for longer and working mindfully with the breath to slow down and release tension, this class is aimed at anyone feeling overloaded, weakened or fatigued by the stresses of daily life – or just wanting to take time out of a busy week to nourish the mind and body with a gentle, rejuvenating practice. No experience is necessary, and all props will be provided.
Please note numbers for this class are restricted to a maximum of six to make sure everyone gets plenty of support getting comfortable in the postures, a place can only be guaranteed by booking a full course, however spaces are available most weeks, so do enquire if you cannot commit to a full course but would like to come on a certain date or dates!
