Well, it’s happened! I have been forced to take to the screen! I for one can’t possibly go without exercise and endorphins in my life! So I will continue to run all my classes (with the exception of Tap, as not sure my kitchen floor or my neighbors would appreciate that!) online, plus I’ll be adding a few extra daytime classes too!

I have tested several online classes so far and they were a success! So if you’d like to get involved please download this FREE app, and sign up using your email address and a password of your choice. Let me know once you have done so and I’ll add you to my contacts.

Once you have the app downloaded and you’re signed in:

  1. Email me to confirm which class you’d like to book on to/day/date/time, at least 12 hours ahead of the class
  2. I will reply with a confirmation along with the “meeting invite” via email
  3. Get your device ready for the session – I would suggest a laptop/tablet or PC as the screen is bigger, however, a phone will do if not (one client even plugged into the TV!)  I would suggest muting yourselves to limit the background noise so all participants can hear me.

Class descriptions:

BALLET BOD – targets the smaller muscles you don’t often use

It’s all the craze in the USA and now you can get your body ready with the total body workout that defines and tones the body, giving you a long lean, supple ‘dancer’ look.

It combines elements of Pilates, Dance and resistance training and focuses on Barre exercises, you don’t need to be a trained dancer or have any experience- this class pushes your individual limits and you can work to your own pace. You don’t need much space for this class – but you will You’ll need a safe space to roll out your mat, a firm chair or kitchen bench to lean on and either wrist/ankle weights (or a couple of tins of beans!!!) DANCE FIT – Dance Fit is all about the dancing. This is a cardio focussed class which utilises several short routines each week incorporating different music, moves and styles!

Simple Choreography (no co-ordination necessary!), to get you moving around, having fun and of course sweating and burning calories! You will need a fairly accessible space, and preferably a non carpeted floor (I’ll be in my kitchen!) Please limit as many distractions as possible. BELLY DANCING – This form of dance is effective for improving posture and muscle tone; relieving joint and back pain; increasing bone density; helping weight loss; preparing for child birth; lowering stress levels; boosting self-esteem and can help in relieving PMS. Our style of Belly Dance uses all the muscles in the body in a really enjoyable way. What is of particular significance is the way all the smaller underlying muscles get used. The problem with conventional muscle training regimes is that they tend to focus on only the large really obvious muscle groups and you can develop a “hard” muscular look. Belly Dance aims to use all the muscles more evenly so you can develop a nice overall tone. The likes of Kylie, Shakira and Beyonce swear by it! Please wear comfortable clothing (but so I can see your alignment) Traditionally danced in bare feet…. If you have a coin belt slip it on! Or you could make your own, If you have a sarong or pashmina this would be great for veil work, but not essential. BODY SCULPT – Callanetics Exercises can work for every body. By isolating muscle groups and using tiny, precise (yet powerful) movements, Callanetics exercises tighten and reshape your body while increasing strength, flexibility and body alignment. You don’t need much space for this class – but you will need a safe space to roll out your mat, a firm chair or kitchen bench to lean on and either wrist/ankle weights (or a couple of tins of beans!!!) CHILLATES – A new dawn in toning and relaxation taking influence from yoga, pilates and dance. A complete mind-body workout which improves balance, aerobic fitness, co-ordination and muscle tone. Suitable for all levels, Chillates features a ‘Wake Up’ section to warm up the body, ‘Salute & Strengthen’ developing strength and tone in the large muscles of the lower body, ‘Core Strength & Flex’ working the smaller muscles of the upper/lower body and abdomen and ‘Standing Yoga & Dance’ improving strength and tone for the entire body. Please note participants will require a Pilates/Yoga mat. But failing that a towel on your Livingroom floor will be fine!

LINE DANCING – If you fancy yourself as a Boot Scootin’ Baby and want to try out the traditional American line dance then this class is perfect for you! Constant changes of directions can be tricky for some, but don’t worry we’ll start off slowly then develop it from there! It’s a fun social dance! You’ll need a safe space to dance in and preferably a non carpeted floor, and please limit as many distractions as possible.
