Brooke Brown-Adams, Professional Dance Artist & Founder of Freelance Dance
Welcome to Freelance Dance, here’s some background information about me and what i do…
I have been dancing since 1987 and have achieved a BA (HONS) degree in Dance Choreography and have worked as a professional dancer in several leading dance companies. As a qualified dance teacher I have completed all grades in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Modern and Jazz.
At University I expanded my dance and fitness techniques which included belly dancing, break dancing, ballet and contemporary, Pilates, yoga and gym training. For my dissertation I focused on the culture and technique of the Egyptian Belly Dancer! I performed constantly for semi-professional choreographers as well as choreographing my own work.
I now work on a freelance basis across the region offering a range of different dance styles and techniques. I teach in leisure centres, schools, community centres and of course my own studio in Jesmond, working with all ages and abilities. I also work with a company called TIN Arts who specialise in teaching students with disability and learning difficulties.
